Textile Technology
In the textile industry energy savings, productivity, and reliability are most significant. With two inventions for the yarn production, AeroLas allows to take paths for solutions already for a long time dreamed of by engineers: Rotor spinning with a direct drive (without belts) and ring spinning with a much higher productivity. Both solutions prove the tremendous possibilities of air bearings and show how know-how and creativity complement one another.

With our air-guided version which is compatible to belt driven versions a direct drive can also be integrated easily. We fulfilled all the necessary requirements - speed at least 165,000 rpm, and a very fast exchangeability of the rotor – and confirmed them with our measurements.

Air-guided ring spinning
With our first prototypes we already could show the high potential of this patented solution. The simple and variable adjustment of the yarn tension demonstrated even in these experiments a high quality. Our goal is to increase the rotation speed and thus the productivity towards conventional solutions. Even versions with a large diameter (free diameter about 190 mm) have been manufactured.
